Multinationals testify for UK Parliament

Three multinationals, Unilever, l’Oréal and Procter & Gamble, testified on their use of microplastics in care products before the Environmental Audit Committee of the UK parliament. All three made public statements in the last few years to ban plastic microbeads and replace them by non polluting alternatives. The UK government is considering a legal ban on the use of microbeads, and at least P&G is not opposing such a ban.
